My name is Jennifer, however I go by the name of Rebecca Lynn Photography for my work. Some people always ask why I go by that name when my name is not Rebecca. Well it is because Rebecca Lynn just happens to be my middle name and thought it would be perfect for my photography name. I am based in Barrie, Ontario. I would like to stay local but if the right opportunity comes along I will travel.
I am currently working on a portfolio that I would like to strictly focus on couples, engagement, intimate weddings, or elopement style. I will do other work if I feel I am the right fit for the job.
Although I have always been interested in photography, I finally took the jump into making it from a hobby into a part time gig in September 2019. I had 2 weddings in the last quarter of that year. One being local, and the other being in Tiny Township at the beautiful Bluewater Beach and Dunes. The next year, we were with a global pandemic. So was not the best time for me to try to get up and running. However later that year I was able to get a small wedding in October 2020 at a beautiful barn setting. Ended up getting booked for 2 weddings in 2021 as well, however with Ontario's restrictions, they unfortunately ended up being a no go.
The year of 2022, although hasnt been a great year, it has been my best year yet. Starting in May, I did a gender reveal party for the couple I did the wedding for in October 2020 who are becoming grandparents very shortly for the first time to a beautiful baby boy. I then followed that up with a very intimate wedding at the lakefront in Orillia, Ontario. in July, I did another lakefront wedding for a couple I started talking to the year prior, in Gilford, ON. September, I did my first ever engagement portraits and I cannot wait to do more.
I am still learning, but I promise to always try my best. I cannot wait to expand my portfolio with your photos.
